Basketball Is... Accessories...
I’m digging Iowa State’s home gold uniforms for their game against #6 Kansas tonight. ISU is a Nike team, with generic Nike uniforms, mostly gold, with cardinal trim, numbers and letters.
Iowa State actually has two mascots. They were originally the Cardinals, hence their gold and, um, cardinal colors. They are more popularly known as the Cyclones, which might explain how dark blue...

Basketball... is Madness
Bill Walton remains the most enigmatic hoops announcer. Listening to him call the Oregon/Arizona game tonight, he had me going with his blatant anti-establishment take down of Duke’s flopping, then lost me with his pollyannish paean to Phil Knight.
Kinda like his playing career…
Love him. Hate him. He’s never boring. And more importantly, he’s never as bad as Dick...
